Together project is about awaring workers about their rights in the State of Kuwait It is a national project that supports workers; issues Its idea is to provide Psychological, social and legal support for workers psychological support is provided through counselors That they hold direct meetings with the affected workers Social support is provided through forming Support groups for employment issues It resolves disputes between workers and employers amicably Legal support is provided through it Providing legal advice to workers and employers There is a team of volunteer lawyers who defend workers rights If their cases made its way to court.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Kuwait Society for Human Rights launched \u201cTogether\u201d project For the first time, in 2016 A partnership was concluded with the Netherlands embassy in Kuwait It established the first electronic platform in the region It consists of a website and a hotline It provides its services in five languages Arabic, English, Hindi, Filipino and Urdu The project&#39;s services at that time were limited on legal awareness of workers We were providing legal advice We translate and print labor laws, both in the private sector &amp; the domestic sector We distribute its implementing decisions and distributed to it.
In the year of 2017 The Kuwait Society for Human Rights was held Partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation they increased the number of publications and translated the Domestic Workers Law into the Ethiopian and French languages.<\/p>

In 2018 we expanded our partnerships by contracting with the Swiss Agency for Development &amp; Cooperation (SDC) We added new services to the project It was legal representation in courts and direct translation for non- Arabic speaking workers We also established a special monitoring unit Positive and negative development in the workers\u2019 file Through it, we issued analytical reports.
This partnership, enabled us to issue A study on the domestic workers rights in law Producing two guidelines One of them is for workers in the private and oil sectors The other one is for domestic workers.<\/p>

The project continued to provide its services to workers The Kuwait Society for Human Rights continued in expanding its partnership base Mobilizing energies and efforts in order to provide quality services to workers in the State of Kuwait. In 2021 We partnered with the U.S – Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Through this partnership we have developed a platform \u201ctogether\u201d We added new languages to it, French and Sri Lankan The platform now provides its services in seven languages. During the project period We hired two consultants One of them is to provide psychological support The other is to provide social support. Social support included resolving work disputes Through direct communication with employers or entities associated with the labor issue. Otherwise, we organized training workshops for leaders in the embassies of labor exporting countries Through these workshops, we introduced them to local mechanisms for advocating labor rights. Also, we implemented other training workshops We formed a social support group for workers We called it \u201cthe Labors\u2019 Friends Group\u201d Many benefited from the services of \u201cTogether\u201d Project More than ten thousand workers in the State of Kuwait In return for these efforts The Kuwait Society for Human Rights received \u201cthe 2023 Chaillot Prize\u201d For the promotion of human rights in the GCC area It is a prominent international prize It is provided by the European Union Delegation For organizations that work to protect the individuals\u2019 rights. Currently we have a new phase of \u201cTogether\u201d project It will be in cooperation with the Public Authority of Manpower We truly applaud the cooperation of the Authority\u2019s leadership and its interaction with the project. Public Authority of Manpower Has opened their doors to cooperate with us This will help us expand our work and adding new services to \u201cTogether\u201d project in its fourth phase. We will cooperate with the Public Authority of Manpower Issuing reports on developments in the employment file in the State of Kuwait we will prepare a study on development The mechanism for transferring labor from one employer to another. We will also survey the opinions of female residents of the Shelter Center for foreign workers About the procedures followed and the services provided We will also prepare 3 research papers Proposes general policies to improve the state of workers\u2019 rights in Kuwait. We seek the participation of the private sector in achieving Kuwait Vision 2035 And also achieving the sustainable development goals. We will work hard to raise the ranking of the State of Kuwait in international indicators and reports Concerning human rights we will also work to combat human trafficking in accordance with the priority recommendations presented to the State of Kuwait. \u201cTogether\u201d platform is one of Together project activities that the Kuwait Society for Human Rights KSHR organizing it since 2016. The platform learns the migrant workers in Kuwait in their rights prescript by the laws. as well, Guide thus migrants to the mechanism of complaints and haw to file it, protect their rights from thus who want to violate it. This platform contains translations for labor law and the domestic workers, administrative decision-related. besides, the electronic platform has a work team consisted of technical and legal consultants to receive the worker\u2019s inquiries and respond to it. the workers may submit their inquiries by using the direct chat or by registering their question using their official account on the platform. they also can use the SMS Service or direct contact with the legal consultant using the hotline. the hotline has five languages to choose from it \u201cArabic- English- Hindi- Urdu- Pilipino\u201d.

The Kuwaiti Society for Human Rights was established in 1988 as a branch of the Arab Organization for Human Rights. It is a non-governmental body that aims to protect and promote human rights in Kuwait and the Arab world in accordance with international standards approved by the consensus of the United Nations and international charters and covenants ratified by the Arab countries. It was officially notarized on November 6, 2004, under the name of the &quot;Kuwaiti Society for Human Rights<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Kuwait Society for Human Rights was established in 1988. In 2004, specifically on 6th November, it was officially established in the State of Kuwait in accordance with a Resolution issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor) No. 152 of 2004 declaring the Kuwait Society for Human Rights for an unlimited period. It has its own headquarters in State of Kuwait, and it operates within the state and in all its six governorates. Its work is managed by a team of different nationalities, numbering 10, who speak Arabic, English, Hindi, French, Filipino, Urdu in order to provide more comprehensive protection for non-Arabic speakers. The Society was established with the aim of \u201cdefending and promoting human rights\u201d as stated in the First Article of its statute, which adds: \u201cIts center is in the city of Kuwait, and it may open branches for it throughout State of Kuwait, and it is known as the Kuwait Society for Human Rights.\u201d The Society enjoys a legal personality and an independent financial liability. It is worth noting that on 24 July 2018, upon the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, the Society obtained consultative capacity in the United Nations Economic and Social Council after a recommendation from the Committee on Civil Society Organizations. In 2024, the Kuwaiti Society for Human Rights presented the 2023 Chaillot Prize from the EU Delegation in Kuwait for the Promotion of Human Rights in the GCC region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Spreading awareness among people on the international human rights charters, especially the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and relevant international covenants, particularly the two international covenants on political and civil human rights and their economic, social and cultural rights, in addition to other charters and according to the human rights stipulated in the Kuwaiti constitution, as well as defending all individuals and groups whose human rights are violated contrary to what is stipulated in these charters, in the constitution and laws. Further, the society takes all means and methods consistent with those goals to achieve its goals. Working by the legitimate means through the legal channels on respecting and promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms for all Kuwaitis and other people on the land of Kuwait, in addition to ceasing any human rights violations that may occur in Kuwait, regardless of their source, and cooperating with the responsible government authorities in order to prevent these violations from occurring.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
